Research has suggested that women experience huge emotional and psychological benefits when wearing makeup. And they do so because it makes them feel positive and confident and when you feel good about yourself this really comes through in your body language.
I was certainly one of those women that would apply a touch of makeup every morning to feel confident, whether I went out of the house or not. It just made me feel like I was ready to do anything. But by the time my first baby arrived, I somehow couldn’t manage to find those few extra minutes in the mornings to apply my routine makeup and in the evenings to remove them!
As the baby demands gradually increased, so did my workload! Suddenly I am managing a very demanding full-time job as well as a baby and the running of the household. Let’s say like many other mums I was focusing on doing a great job at everything but forgot to take care of my own appearance in the process. I was no longer the confident, always fresh-looking woman. How I wished I could just wake up with makeup instead of looking drained and tired.
This all changed when I bumped into an old friend who like myself, worked full time and had children but she still managed to look amazingly fresh! I could only think to myself “wow”! “where am I going wrong”? She told me her secret was Permanent Makeup, and that was it, I couldn’t get the thought out of my head.
How incredible would it be to walk into the gym or out of the swimming pool with a natural, flawless look without worrying about smudges or if they have wiped away? How great would it be waking up and not having to spend ages trying to get that perfect eyeliner or eyebrow!
The next day I was on a mission to find a Permanent Makeup Specialist to book my very first appointment. To my surprise I came across so many Permanent Makeup Specialists and suddenly it dawned on me that we are talking about:
• Needles
• Sterile environment
• Health & Safety
• And am I comfortable with allowing just anyone near my eyes or face for that matter???
• And how do I know what pigments they are using and how safe they are??
• And what if I don’t like it? After all it is permanent even if they fade over time, we are talking about months or even years!!
• And the horror stories I came across didn’t help either
Surely there must be others like me who would love to look flawless and confident but concerned about Health and Safety? If I am feeling self-conscious then what about those undergoing chemotherapy who suffer hair loss? Or those with Alopecia?
It was at that moment that I decided to put my extensive Scientific and Medical knowledge (BSc (Hons), MSc and PhD) and experience of over 20 years to good use and help other women to enhance their natural beauty and self-confidence.
I spent a great deal of time to research and carefully select the best training centre in the UK to qualify in micro-pigmentation. I feel privileged to have been able to open my own business, where your Health & Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Berkshire Permanent Makeup.
What I love most about my job now, is the smile and satisfaction on my clients faces, as they walk out with their heads up high feeling great about themselves.

I’ve had specialist training in corrective treatments so I am able to perform corrective permanent makeup procedures on unhappy clients that have had their permanent makeup done elsewhere with poor results.
I Use Only the Highest Quality Permanent Makeup Pigments on All My Clients…
All the colour pigments that I use have been specifically formulated through years of research and development using only the finest grades of iron oxides and lakes, the same ingredients found in make-up giants
Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Truco, Guerlain, MAC, Channel and Gucci
cosmetic products. All the pigments I use are medical grade and from the leading suppliers to the medical profession worldwide. All my pigments are hypoallergenic and are also designed for concealing imperfections on burns, scars, cancer, vitiligo, and cleft pallet patients. They have supreme colour concentration meaning less touch ups over the years.
All of my lip and eye pigments are fashioned after the top cosmetic manufacturer colours which remain true over the years. All the pigment bottles are sterile, heat sealed and tamper proof for your protection. Each one is encoded with lot numbers and expiration dates.
All pigment has a micron count of between 6 & 8 to the colour last in the skin. I carry the widest variety of natural permanent makeup colours which I custom blend for Blondes, Brunettes & Women with Silver hair. I can also order designer colours for those wanting more dramatic colour results.
Your Consultation & Your New Look Designs
Consultation
I offer a free, no obligation consultation to everyone at least 12 hours before any treatment.
I use this time to get to know you to learn why you would like to have permanent makeup and what are your expectations. We will also discuss shape and colour so that you are 100% happy and comfortable.
You will also have the opportunity to ask me any question you may have about the treatment/s and after care.to help you feel at ease for when you next visit for your treatment.
Procedure & Anti-Allergy Patch Test
Procedure
The treatment takes two sessions to complete. After your first session your permanent makeup will look much darker and bold for up to 5 days.
This can be a shock for some people, but its completely normal and the colour will soften up to 70% to give a soft natural powdered look. After this some people want to go darker or would like the shape tweaked a little so a second session is needed after 4-6 weeks.
Patch Test
Even though all the pigments I use are hypoallergenic, a patch test is always carried out during the consultation to ensure you aren’t allergic to any of the products I will be using.
If you happen to live far away then I can post a patch test to you with instructions of how to perform the test at home. We will then review the result over the phone before making an appointment for any treatment.
